...FLOOD ADVISORY IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Advisory is cancelled for portions of east central and
southeast Kentucky, including the following areas, in east central
Kentucky, Estill, Menifee and Powell. In southeast Kentucky, Lee.

Small stream flooding is no longer expected to pose a threat. Please
continue to heed remaining road closures.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast and southeast Kentucky, including
  the following counties, in northeast Kentucky, Johnson. In
  southeast Kentucky, Magoffin, Morgan and Wolfe.

* WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Some low-water crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 710 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain has fallen
    due to thunderstorms earlier in the morning. This will cause
    small stream flooding. Between 1 and 2.3 inches of rain have
    fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Campton, Lewis, Demund, Rexville, Sellars, Lizzielane,
    Nickell, Daysboro, Helechawa, Payton, Grassy Creek, Mize,
    Lower Gilmore, Panama, Hazel Green, Murphyfork, Cannel City,
    Greear, Stacy Fork and Caney.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
