...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN WAYNE AND SOUTHWESTERN
MCCREARY COUNTIES THROUGH 700 PM EDT...

At 617 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Sunnybrook, or 7 miles east of Byrdstown, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Blue Heron, Parmleysville, Great Meadows Campsites, Slavens,
Burfield, Kidds Crossing, Co-
Operative, Rockeybranch, Slickford, Griffin, Mount Pisgah,
Powersburg, Sunnybrook, and Stearns.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
south central Kentucky.
