.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1050 AM EDT Sun May 26 2024

Once again another quiet morning is occurring here in the Florida
Keys. Although, convergence from southeasterly winds and
northeasterly land breezes off the mainland have created weak
isolated showers just north of the island chain. For the island
community itself, near nil rain chances are expected for this
afternoon going into tonight. Winds along the reef have increased
from light and variable to southeast to south at 5 to 10 knots and
will start to lower back to near 5 knots this evening. As for the
forecast, there is no need for any changes as the ridge remains
in tact providing us pleasant conditions.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1050 AM EDT Sun May 26 2024

There are no watches, warnings, or advisories in effect for the
Florida Keys coastal waters. From synopsis, light to gentle
breezes generally out of the southeast to south will continue
through today, and will periodically become variable in direction
due to the light nature and effects of daytime heating. High
pressure will gradually shift east today through Monday. This will
allow for breezes to modestly surge during the overnights tonight
and Monday and lull each afternoon. As this high slides further
east on Tuesday, breezes will slacken and will go light and
variable at times.

.AVIATION...
(12Z TAFS)

Issued at 1050 AM EDT Sun May 26 2024
VFR conditions will prevail at both island terminals through the TAF
period, with near-nil rain and thunder chances. Surface winds will
be light and variable at times, although generally from the
southeast at 5 to 10 knots.
