Through 4 am, widely scattered showers will move west southwest at near 10 knots across the Lower Keys and adjacent nearshore waters. Elsewhere, lines of showers will move to the southwest across the distant Straits south of Wood`s Wall West Crack. Mariners encountering this activity can expect brief blinding downpours and wind gusts of 20 to 25 knots. Island communities in Lower Keys may be briefly affected by a few of these showers, and receive up to one tenth to a quarter of an inch of rainfall as well as wind gusts near 20 mph. $$
