...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southeast Louisiana, including the following
  parishes, Jefferson, Orleans and St. Bernard.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 525 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms approaching from the west. Minor flooding is
    ongoing from earlier heavy rain, and flash flooding could be
    possible shortly with an additional upgrade to a warning
    possible.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    New Orleans, Chalmette, Harvey, Belle Chasse, Gretna, Arabi,
    Terrytown and Lakefront Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
