411 FZUS61 KBUF 021738 GLFLO Open Lake Forecast for Lake Ontario National Weather Service Buffalo NY 138 PM EDT Sun Jun 2 2024 For waters beyond five nautical miles of shore on Lake Ontario Waves are the significant wave height - the average of the highest 1/3 of the wave spectrum. Occasional wave height is the average of the highest 1/10 of the wave spectrum. .SYNOPSIS... A 29.9 inch low will weaken as it approaches the lake this afternoon, with the low then passing east of the Lake tonight. After that, a 30.1 inch high will build over the eastern Great Lakes Monday and then drift to the New England coast Monday night and Tuesday. A trough of low pressure averaging 29.6 inches will dig across the central Great Lakes on Wednesday. This trough will pass to the east of the Lake Wednesday night and Thursday.
