...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 845 PM CDT
FOR CENTRAL DAWSON COUNTY...
At 807 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles south of
Welch, or 9 miles northwest of Lamesa, moving southeast at 20 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.
Locations impacted include...
Lamesa, Welch, Lamesa Municipal Airport, Los Ybanez, Tenmile, Punkin
Center, Arvana, Hancock, and Key.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
