...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN HAWKINS...
NORTHEASTERN HANCOCK...SOUTHEASTERN LEE...WESTERN SCOTT AND
SOUTHWESTERN WISE COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM EDT...

At 519 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Surgoinsville, or 10 miles northeast of Rogersville, moving northeast
at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Kingsport, Rogersville, Gate City, Big Stone Gap, Surgoinsville,
Weber City, Church Hill, Mount Carmel, Appalachia, and Duffield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
