Hot and dry weather will continue through Friday. The hottest valleys in the eastern interior can expect highs near or just above 100 with minimum RH below 20 percent. Winds will be mostly moderate and terrain driven with few gusts to 20 mph in exposed areas. North winds will be locally stronger near shore with gusts up to 35 mph in the King Range. Strong heating will support a very slight (less than 15%) chance of isolated thunderstorms with gusty outflow winds over highest terrain of Northeast Trinity county late Thursday afternoon and early evening. No wetting rain is forecast. The heat will abate over the weekend as a trough approaches the area. The possibility for diurnally triggered thunderstorms in Trinty county is not zero (less than a 15% chance) this weekend and early next week. This will need to be closely monitored. ##################################################################### ## ## ## Complete a discussion for each ECCDA segment below ## ## When done click transmit, product sent as KMTRFWLMTR ## ## ## ##################################################################### ECC010-062230- St Helena ECC Dispatch- DISCUSSION FOR Marin and Sonoma and Napa Counties 327 AM PDT Thu Jun 6 2024 Well above average inland temperatures continue today, while coastal areas remain cool.
