West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front will remain in
place across the S waters tonight through Wed night. Weak low
pressure will lift NE along the front tonight through Wed night.
Weak high pressure over the Ohio Valley tonight will shift E
across the N waters Wed and Wed night, then move E of the waters
on Thu. Another low will form over the S waters Wed night into
Thu, then move slowly NE Fri into Sat. A cold front will approach
the N waters by late Fri, then move SE across the waters Fri
night into Sat night. Behind the front, another high will build
SE across the N and central waters Sun and Sun night. The NAVTEX
transmitter in Chesapeake, Virginia is offline until further
notice. Technicians are aware of the problem and are working to
have it repaired.

39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
