West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front will continue
over the S waters today through Wed night before weakening Thu.
Low pressure will form along the front off the SE coast this
morning, then move slowly NE along the front today and tonight
before passing E of the area Wed. Weak high pressure will build E
across the N waters Wed and Wed night, then shift E of the region
Thu. Another low will form over the S waters Wed into Thu night,
then move slowly NE Fri into Sat. A cold front will approach from
the NW Thu night and Fri, then move SE across the waters Fri
night into Sat night as another high builds NW of the region. The
NAVTEX transmitter in Chesapeake, Virginia is offline until
further notice. Technicians are aware of the problem and are
working to have it repaired.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
