West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A warm front extending SE from
Cape Cod across far NE portions of the Outer Mid- Atlantic Waters
will lift NE of the waters tonight. A cold front will move E and
approach the coast later today. It will move slowly offshore
across the N waters tonight and Fri and then slowly over the
central and S waters late Fri and Fri night. The front will
eventually stall from Saint Simons Island to SE of Hatteras
Canyon late Sat and Sat night. Another cold front will move E
across the N waters Sun. The front will briefly stall E of the
Virginia Capes Sun night before continuing SE across the S waters
Mon. That front will stall again across the SE waters Mon night
and Tue as another weak cold front moves through the N waters.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W

.TONIGHT...W to SW winds 15 to 25 kt. Seas 4 to 8 ft. Slight
chance of tstms. Areas of fog with vsby 1 nm or less.
