West central North Atlantic continental shelf and slope waters
beyond 20 nm to 250 nm offshore, including south of Georges Bank
from 1000 fm to 250 nm offshore.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR MID ATLC WATERS...A stationary front will remain in
place across the S waters today. Weak high pressure across the N
and central waters will clear E and NE of the waters late today.
Developing low pressure will move slowly NE into the S waters
late today and tonight, with the low likely strengthening some
while moving slowly NE near the outer waters Fri into early Sat.
The low will move NE of the waters later Sat. A cold front will
approach the NW waters late Fri, with the front then moving SE
across the waters Fri night into Sat night. Behind the front,
high pressure will again build SE across the N and central waters
Sun into Mon. The high will move E away from the area late Mon
and Mon night while maintaining a ridge westward across the N
waters.

Hudson Canyon to Baltimore Canyon including the waters west of
39.3N 71.9W...SW to 37.7N 72.9W
