New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...Weak high pressure just S of
the waters will shift SE of the area tonight. A cold front will
slowly approach from the NW Fri, then move SE across the waters
late Fri night into Sat as developing low pressure passes SE and
then E of the area. High pressure will build NW of the area, and
over New England Sat night before slowly moving SE across the
waters Sun into Mon. The high will clear E and SE of the area
late Mon and Mon night, and will maintain a ridge just to the S
of the waters Mon night through Tue night.
