This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for eastern Nebraska and west
central into southwest Iowa.

.DAY ONE...Friday Afternoon Through Friday Night

Thunderstorms are likely tonight, especially after midnight.
There is a marginal risk that a storm or two could produce locally
damaging winds. While most of the area will receive an inch or
less of rain, there is potential for some locations to receive
more than two inches, possibly leading to flooding if storms
repeatedly move over the same locations.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Another round of thunderstorms is expected to develop Saturday
afternoon into Saturday evening, and is most likely to be focused
southeast of a Columbus to Sioux City line. The strongest storms
may become severe with large hail and damaging winds. There is
also a small chance for a tornado or two to develop. These storms
will also produce heavy rain which could lead to flash flooding of
multiple storms move over the same locations.

Sunday evening and overnight will feature another chance for
strong storms, mainly over northeast Nebraska. Almost every day
next week features another chance of thunderstorms across eastern
Nebraska and western Iowa. While the exact timing remains in
question, some of these rounds of storms will be capable of
producing severe weather and heavy rainfall.

Very hot temperatures will also develop Sunday and Monday
afternoons with highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat index
values exceeding 100, leading to elevated risk of heat illness.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not anticipated through tonight.
