...New AVIATION...

.SHORT TERM...
(Today through Thursday)
Issued at 140 AM CDT Wed Jun 12 2024

A short wave trough will push out of Texas and track to our
south. This will bring some high level clouds to the area
throughout the day. Otherwise surface high pressure sitting off to
our north will bring another great day. Highs will be a bit
warmer pushing into the low to mid 80s. The Four Corners ridge
will then start to push east and this will bring warming
temperatures to Middle TN and a prolonged period of highs in the
90s late week through next week. Highs on Thursday will push into
the mid 80s to lower 90s. Humidity will also start to increase on
Thursday with dew points pushing into the mid 60s.

.LONG TERM...
(Thursday Night through next Wednesday)
Issued at 140 AM CDT Wed Jun 12 2024

Four Corners ridge will continue to build east late week into the
weekend. This will bring hot conditions with highs in the 90s. The
APEX of the ridge will be overhead on Sunday and that will bring
the hottest day in the forecast period with highs well into the
90s and possible pushing to the century mark. The NBM gives much
of the area a 20-50% chance of seeing highs 100 or greater.

Upper level ridge will push east some on Monday giving us
southerly flow and an increase in humidity. Dew points will push
above 70. This will also bring some cooling but it will still
remain hot with highs in the 90s. The upper level ridge will
remain over the east for all of next week and will continue to
build. This will keep conditions hot with daytime highs remaining
in the 90s.

Dry weather is expected through the weekend but with the increased
humidity next week we could see a few popup afternoon
thunderstorms.
