Fire Weather Planning Forecast FOR S Cntrl and Sern Colorado
National Weather Service Pueblo Co
751 AM MDT Mon Jun 3 2024

.Discussion...

Dry and hot conditions will spread over the region through late week
with isolated showers and thunderstorms possible at times over the
mountains. Winds will be lighter which should limit the risk for
critical fire weather conditions, especially as fuels are in green up.
There will be afternoon breezes at times which could cause fuels to
dry out with time. However an uptick in showers and thunderstorms will
return for Friday into next weekend with best coverage expected across
the southeast mountains and plains. This will help cool off
temperatures especially for Sunday and Monday.

Afternoon smoke dispersions will rise into the very good to excellent
category both today and Tuesday.

--- thunderstorms imply strong gusty and erratic winds ---
