...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT MOORE...WESTERN HARNETT AND LEE
COUNTIES THROUGH 1145 PM EDT...

At 1037 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Carthage, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Sanford, Southern Pines, Carthage, Pinehurst, Whispering Pines,
Broadway, Robbins, Taylortown, Vass, and Cameron.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent
cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
