SAMPSON...HARNETT...NORTHERN CUMBERLAND...LEE...SOUTHWESTERN
JOHNSTON...NORTHEASTERN HOKE AND SOUTHEASTERN CHATHAM COUNTIES
THROUGH 515 PM EDT...

At 424 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 7 miles south of Sanford to near Pope AFB to 10
miles northeast of Fort Liberty to 6 miles east of Dunn. Movement was
northeast at 10 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fayetteville, Sanford, Lillington, Fort Liberty, Dunn, Angier,
Benson, Godwin, Pope AFB, and Spring Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
