SOUTHEASTERN LOGAN AND SOUTH CENTRAL BOONE COUNTIES THROUGH 115 PM EDT... At 1238 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Oceana, or 11 miles northwest of Pineville, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Oceana, Amherstdale-Robinette, Clear Fork, Kopperston, Coal Mountain, and Cyclone. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.
