...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN LAWRENCE...SOUTHERN
CABELL...SOUTHWESTERN PUTNAM...LINCOLN AND CENTRAL WAYNE COUNTIES
THROUGH 930 PM EDT...

At 905 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Kiahsville, or 13 miles southeast of Wayne, moving northeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Huntington, Wayne, Hamlin, Proctorville, Beech Fork State Park,
Barboursville, Ranger, Ona, Spurlockville, Harts, Gill, East Lynn
Lake, Kiahsville, West Hamlin, Salt Rock, Palermo, Pea Ridge, East
Lynn, Yawkey, and Myra.

This includes Interstate 64 in West Virginia between mile markers 10
and 22.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
