...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 515 AM CDT
FOR OZARK...DOUGLAS AND SOUTHEASTERN TANEY COUNTIES...
At 459 AM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from 7 miles south of Mansfield to near Gainesville to
Lakeway, moving east at 60 mph.
HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and half dollar size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
roofs, and outbuildings.
Locations impacted include...
Bull Shoals Lake, Norfork Lake, Bryant Creek State Park, Gainesville,
Bakersfield, Theodosia, Pontiac, Wasola, Sundown, Brixey, Willhoit,
Brushyknob, Tecumseh, Udall, Hardenville, Thornfield, Vanzant,
Squires, Zanoni, and Noble.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 AM CDT for south central
and southwestern Missouri.
Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.
For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.
