.SYNOPSIS...
The heat will peak for the deserts today while the Inland Empire
cools slightly. Slow cooling will spread inland for Friday
through Sunday with Sunday high temperatures still a few degrees
above average for the deserts. Warmer for Monday and Tuesday of
next week, then slow cooling for Wednesday through Friday. The
marine layer will keep coastal areas cooler with night and
morning coastal low clouds spreading a little farther into the
valleys over the weekend.

SAN DIEGO...WESTERN RIVERSIDE AND SOUTHWESTERN SAN BERNARDINO
COUNTIES...

.SHORT TERM (Today through Saturday)...
The heat will peak for the deserts today while the Inland Empire
cools slightly. Highest temperatures today of around 112 for the
lower deserts and 105 for the Apple and Lucerne Valleys are
expected. While that`s around 10 degrees above average for the
lower deserts and 10 to 15 degrees above average for the Apple and
Lucerne Valleys, the high temperatures for the deserts today are
not expected to be record setting. Slow cooling will spread inland
for Friday and Saturday with Saturday high temperatures around 5
degrees above average for the deserts.

The marine layer is near 1500 to 2000 feet deep early this
morning with coastal low clouds extending inland into the western
valleys. The marine layer will slowly deepen for Friday into the
weekend with night and morning coastal low clouds extending
farther inland into the valleys.

.LONG TERM (Sunday through Wednesday)...
Slow cooling will continue to spread inland on Sunday with Sunday
high temperatures still a few degrees above average for the
deserts and a few to around 5 degrees below average for the coast
and valleys. Warming is expected for Monday and Tuesday with
Tuesday high temperatures for the deserts around 4 to 8 degrees
above average with the coast and valleys within a few degrees of
average. Night and morning coastal low clouds won`t extend quite
as far into the valleys for Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday is
expected to be slightly cooler.

.AVIATION...
060930Z...Coast and western valleys...Low clouds based at 600-1000
feet MSL with tops to 1900 feet will continue to expand into
westernmost valleys through 14Z. Local vis reduced 1-5SM over higher
coastal terrain and valleys. Clearing from inland toward the coast
16-20Z, but only brief scatter out if any at the coast. Low clouds
with similar bases/tops/vis and coverage will push inland after 23Z
and expand into western valleys overnight into Friday.

Otherwise...clear skies today and tonight.

No hazardous marine conditions are expected through Monday.

encouraged to report significant weather conditions.

     Riverside County Valleys-The Inland Empire.

     Excessive Heat Warning until 9 PM PDT Friday for Apple and
     Lucerne Valleys-Coachella Valley-San Diego County Deserts-
     San Gorgonio Pass Near Banning.
