...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN NACOGDOCHES...
ANGELINA...CENTRAL SAN AUGUSTINE AND WEST CENTRAL SABINE COUNTIES
THROUGH 800 PM CDT...

At 653 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 10 miles north of Rockland to near Lufkin to
near Apple Springs. Movement was northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Diboll, Hudson, Huntington, Melrose, Woden,
Pollok, Macune, Etoile, Burke, Zavalla, Chireno, Broaddus, Denning,
Shawnee, Clawson, Central, Bronson, and Redland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
eastern Texas.
