At 804 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Nash to 7 miles northeast of Hughes Springs to Newsome. Movement was east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations impacted include... Texarkana, Atlanta, Wake Village, Pittsburg, Leesburg, Nash, Hooks, Daingerfield, Linden, Hughes Springs, Lone Star, Queen City, Redwater, Maud, Cason, Rocky Branch, Genoa, Jenkins, Newsome, and Leary. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
