...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL HEMPSTEAD AND
NEVADA COUNTIES THROUGH MIDNIGHT CDT...

At 1129 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Emmet, or 8 miles south of Prescott, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Prescott, Emmet, Rosston, Willisville, Bodcaw, Bluff City, White Oak
Lake State Park, Cale, Young, Sutton, Waterloo, Boughton, Mount
Moriah, Morris, Laneburg, and Reader.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
southwestern Arkansas.
