...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following
  counties, Callahan, Jones and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 145 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is
  imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 1144 PM CDT, Radar indicated thunderstorms with heavy rain
    overspreading the Abilene area. Rainfall of 1 to 2 inches
    will occur between 1145 PM and 1 AM, and this will cause
    urban and small stream flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Abilene, Merkel, Tye, Tuscola, Hawley, Buffalo Gap, Trent,
    Dyess Afb, View, Potosi, Coronados Camp, Hamby, Impact, Kirby
    Lake, Camp Tonkawa, Lake Abilene, and Lake Fort Phantom Hill.
  - This includes Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 261 and 294.

    This includes the following Low Water Crossings...
    Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, Butternut
    Underpass, Intersections along Sammons Street, Texas Avenue
    at Arnold Boulevard, Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw
    Drive, FM 89 crossing Scott Hollow, FM 3308 crossing Draw,
    Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek, FM 89 crossing Elm
    Creek and US 84 frontage Road crossing Little Elm Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
