It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 914 PM AST, USGS sensors indicated that Rio Blanco remains above flood stage (7.3 feet), now at 7.82 feet, due to excessive runoff from today`s heavy rains. Up to 4.5 inches of rain have fallen. Emergency managers indicated that flood waters from Rio Blanco continue to affect portions of roads PR-31 and PR-191, which remain impassable. For this reason, the Flash Flood Warning was replaced by a Flood Warning. - Light to moderate rains may affect the area later this evening, possibly generating additional rainfall amounts of up to 0.5 inches in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Naguabo and Rio Blanco. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely. && LAT...LON 1826 6580 1827 6579 1827 6578 1823 6577 1823 6576 1821 6574 1819 6572 1818 6572 1818 6571 1817 6571 1817 6572 1817 6574 1818 6574 1820 6576 1822 6581 $$ ICP
