...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SOUTHEASTERN MORRIS...
SOUTHEASTERN WABAUNSEE AND NORTHERN LYON COUNTIES THROUGH 915 AM
CDT...

At 839 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Admire, moving northeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow
         around unsecured objects. Hail damage to outdoor objects
         and vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Council Grove, Americus, Allen, Admire, Bushong, and Dunlap.

This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 132 and 154.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
