Current surface map places weak trough across the Northern
Plains. A few showers located across southeastern Montana into
northwestern South Dakota associated with weak impulse moving
through eastern Montana/northern Wyoming. A stronger shortwave
is located along the Idaho/Montana border. Showers linger across
northwestern South Dakota early this morning with initial wave.
Second shortwave moves through Wyoming into western South
Dakota/Nebraska late this afternoon with shower/thunderstorm
coverage increasing. Severe thunderstorms are not expected due to
weak buoyancy.

Upper level ridge builds across the Northern Plains Monday/Tuesday
with warmer/drier conditions. High reach the mid 70s/lower 80s on
Tuesday/Wednesday Upper trough moves into the northern Rockies
Wednesday and into the Plains for the end of the week. This will
