AND NORTHWESTERN LYMAN COUNTIES THROUGH 730 PM CDT/630 PM MDT/...

At 640 PM CDT/540 PM MDT/, Doppler radar was tracking strong
thunderstorms along a line extending from near Sutton Bay Rec Area to
7 miles south of Wendte. Movement was east at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Pierre, Fort Pierre, Gettysburg, Onida, Blunt, Spring Creek Rec Area,
Agar, Little Bend Rec Area, Gorman, Van Metre, West Shore Rec Area,
Grey Goose, Rousseau, Mission Ridge, Cottonwood Lake Near Agar, Oahe
Mission Rec Area, Wendte, Canning, Sutton Bay Rec Area, and Chantier
Creek Recreation Area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Aberdeen.

If on or near Lake Oahe, get out of the water and move indoors or
inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 10 miles
from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close
enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not
be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
