...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL HAMILTON...
FULTON...SOUTHEASTERN HERKIMER AND MONTGOMERY COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM
EDT...

At 459 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Springfield, or 10 miles west of Canajoharie, moving northeast at 25
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Amsterdam, Gloversville, Johnstown, Little Falls, Canajoharie, Fonda,
Fort Plain, Dolgeville, St. Johnsville, Ephratah, Broadalbin,
Hagaman, Mayfield, Stratford, Fort Johnson, Ames, Caroga Lake, Tribes
Hill, Caroga Lake Public Campground, and Perth.

This includes Interstate 90 between exits 27 and 29A.

Localized rainfall rates my approach a half an inch to an inch an
hour which may cause ponding of water on roadways and poor drainage
flooding of low lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead
to localized street and or poor drainage flooding. Do not drive your
vehicle through flooded roadways.
