Strong northwest winds will continue through this evening across
much of the Dakotas and Minnesota on the back side of a large low
pressure system in the Great Lakes region. A few showers are
possible this afternoon and evening in southern Manitoba and
Minnesota. Dry weather and mostly sunny skies will prevail over
western parts of the region. Highs this afternoon will range from
the 60s over northern Minnesota, to the 70s across the central
and western Dakotas and eastern Montana. A weak weather system
will cross the Northern Plains on Friday with a low chance of
showers or a thunderstorm across parts of the region, but then
mostly dry weather is expected this weekend. Near to slightly
below normal temperatures are expected this weekend, before much
warmer temperatures become possible by the middle of next week.
