The hot weather is expected to continue on Thursday for much of the forecast area. Afternoon humidity levels are expected to drop into the teens over mush of the forecast area with the exception of the northeast corner of the plains. Wind speeds will not be very strong but the hot temperatures and lower humidities will help elevate fire weather conditions across some areas. Smoke dispersal looks excellent over the mountains by Thursday afternoon and very good for the foothills. It looks poor over the eastern plains but good over the western plains. LONG TERM DISCUSSION...Thursday night through Monday...Mostly dry conditions are expected Thursday. Relative humidities drop as low as 12-17 percent for areas south of I-70 but winds remain light thus staying under warning criteria. Wetting rains are expected across the region Friday. Sunday, marginal fire weather conditions are possible across portions of the high country, Palmer Divide and South Park due to combination of low relative humidity between 14-18 percent and wind gusts up to 20 mph.
