No hazardous weather is expected at this time. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY... Isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms are forecast to develop Thursday afternoon and evening east of Highway 25 in northwest Kansas and southwest Nebraska. Storms will be capable of producing large to very large hail and damaging winds; a tornado may also be possible near sunset. A cold front then moves across the area where additional severe storms may be possible east of Highway 83 again with large hail and damaging winds. Wind gusts up to 50 mph, not associated with thunderstorms, are possible to the west of Highway 83. Very high grassland fire danger is forecast across portions of Kit Carson and Cheyenne counties in Colorado along with Sherman, Wallace and Greeley counties in Kansas as southwest winds gust around 30 mph. A sudden shift to northwest winds gusting around 50 mph with an advancing cold front may cause unpredictable fire behavior should one be ongoing. For the holiday weekend, there will be a chance for storms both Saturday and Sunday, with severe storms possible. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not currently anticipated. $$
