In 1941, an F3 tornado developed between Firstview and Cheyenne Wells Colorado and then crossed into Kansas about six miles south of Kanorado, before hitting the northern part of Ruleton. Five homes and a school were destroyed there. Five of the injuries were in one house, and two were in a car thrown about fifty feet. The twister lifted ten miles north of Goodland. $$
