...ON THIS DATE IN WEATHER HISTORY...

In 1941, an F3 tornado developed between Firstview and
Cheyenne Wells Colorado and then crossed into Kansas about six
miles south of Kanorado, before hitting the northern part of
Ruleton. Five homes and a school were destroyed there. Five of the
injuries were in one house, and two were in a car thrown about
fifty feet. The twister lifted ten miles north of Goodland.
