At 753 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 4 miles south of Newton to 7 miles west of
Lincolnton. Movement was southeast at 40 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.
