...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM HST THIS EVENING
FOR THE ISLAND OF OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM HST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
  streams.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 646 PM HST, radar indicated moderate to heavy rain over
    the eastern half of Oahu. Rain was falling at a rate of
    around 1 inch per hour. Rainfall coverage is expected to
    increase along the south shore of Oahu from the Honolulu
    Airport eastward to Hawaii Kai as additional rain moves in
    from the south.
  - This advisory includes the entire island of Oahu.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due
to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action.

A Flood Watch is also in effect through Friday evening.

This advisory may need to be extended beyond 815 PM HST if flooding
persists.
