The most potent thunderstorms are over the southeastern Gulf north of the Lower Keys and will continue to race off to the northeast at 30 to 35 knots towards the Ten Thousand Islands. Meanwhile, redevelopment has started north of Havana in the distant Straits of Florida. Through 930 PM, scattered thundery squalls will race to the north to northeast at 20 to 25 knots towards the Dry Tortugas, the Marquesas, and western most portions of the Lower Keys. These storms will be capable of localized wind gusts near 35 knots, blinding downpours, and bouts of frequent lightning. For the island communities, light to occasional moderate rain will continue, with additional accumulations approaching a quarter of an inch.
