...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT EAST CENTRAL BLOUNT AND
SOUTHEASTERN SEVIER COUNTIES THROUGH 500 AM EDT...

At 432 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong
thunderstorms near Smoky Mountains-Clingmans Dome, or 7 miles south
of Gatlinburg, moving east at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Gatlinburg, Smoky Mountains-Newfound Gap, Smoky Mountains-Fontana
Area, Smoky Mountains-Balsam Mountain, Pittman Center, Townsend,
Cades Cove, Elkmont, and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Persons in campgrounds should consider seeking sturdy shelter until
this storm passes.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 600 AM EDT for east
Tennessee.
