You should never swim at an unguarded beach, but especially with a high risk of rip currents the safest course of action is to stay out of the surf. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If caught in a rip current, relax and float. Don`t swim against the current. If able, swim in a direction following the shoreline.
