.DISCUSSION...
Winds will shift from west southwest this evening to northeast winds
around midnight PDT with gusts 20-30 mph possible in the early
morning as downslope winds combine with general northerly winds,
peaking in the early morning hours. Expect northerly winds to
continue Monday through Tuesday, strongest in the morning hours.
This will combine with low humidity levels to bring critical fire
weather conditions, with a Red Flag Warning in effect through 8 am
PDT Tuesday. Afternoon humidity drops into the teens for Monday
and lowers further Tuesday, with poor recovery Monday night into
early Tuesday. Northerly winds are expected to gradually decrease
during the day Tuesday.
