This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.

THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.
RISK...Limited.
AREA...Far Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas.
ONSET...Early Afternoon.

DISCUSSION...
Rain showers along with a slight chance for thunderstorms are
forecast across mainly far eastern Oklahoma and also northwest
Arkansas today as the western portion of an area of low pressure
moves through the region. This activity is expected to taper off
and exit by this evening.

Spotter Activation Not Expected.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY...No Hazards.
FRIDAY THROUGH SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.

EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Ridge of high pressure moves over the region Tuesday and holds
through the week allowing for warmer and more humid conditions
across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Heat index values
late week are forecast to climb into the upper 90s to around 102
degrees across much of the region. Shower and thunderstorm chances
return Friday into the weekend as an area of low pressure looks
to finally move out into the Plains.
