the hottest days of the period. Otherwise, conditions will remain

&&

.DISCUSSION...through next weekend.

Our area will continue to experience above normal temperatures
through at least, the next 7 days with high temperatures expected
to be 5-10 degrees above normal each day through next Sunday.
Tuesday and Wednesday are forecast to be the hottest days of the
week when temperatures could again challenge local records. A
Excessive Heat Watch extending from Death Valley National Park to
Las Vegas and Kingman is in effect for both days.

A low pressure system develops off the southern California and
northern Baja coast later today into Monday when an area of low
pressure becomes disconnected from the main flow, stagnates, and
churns over the open waters through the middle of the week.
Synoptic weather features then work together to snag the low and
pull it inland over the southwestern states on Thursday. This
will result in decreasing but still anomalous temperatures for
later in the week and over the weekend. The model trend for the
beginning of the following week continues to favor above normal
temperatures

.AVIATION...For Harry Reid...Wind components may vary from 160-200
degrees with gusts 20-24 knots through late afternoon then should

Monday morning will become east-southeast 6-8 knots during the
afternoon. No significant clouds below 20 kft.
