Subject:      Establishment of minor, moderate and major flood
              stages for the stream gauge at Willsboro, NY on
              the Boquet River (WLBN6)

Effective at 1200 Coordinated Universal Time on July 15, 2024, the
National Weather Service will establish minor, moderate and major
flood levels above Gauge Zero for the stream gauge at Willsboro, NY
on the Boquet River. Those are listed below. Flood stages for this
gauge were previously undefined.

Action Stage (Bankfull): 7.5 feet
Minor Flood Stage: 8.0 feet
Moderate Flood Stage: 10.0 feet
Major Flood Stage: 12.0 feet

These new flood stages, and accompanying impact statements will be
referenced in future Flood Warnings and Flood Statements for the
gauge. The changes are part of a recent evaluation of the floodplain
and high water impacts with town emergency management officials and
members of the Boquet River Association.
