...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN BOX BUTTE AND
SOUTHEASTERN DAWES COUNTIES THROUGH 500 PM MDT...

At 433 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 6 miles west of Hay Springs to 9 miles
northeast of Box Butte Reservoir to near Box Butte Campground.
Movement was southeast at 25 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Hemingford, Box Butte Campground, Box Butte County Fairgrounds, Box
Butte Reservoir, and Box Butte Dam.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM MDT for
the Panhandle of Nebraska.
