...An area of heavy rain will impact portions of northern Lee County
through 615 PM CDT...

At 509 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking heavy rain over Franklin,
or 8 miles west of Fort Madison, moving northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 40 mph and minor flooding.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could cause minor tree limb damage and blow
         around unsecured objects. Slowing or redirecting of traffic
         due to ponding or flowing water is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Fort Madison, West Point, Donnellson, Franklin, St. Paul, New Boston,
Denmark, Augusta, Charleston, Lee County Fairgrounds, Sawyer, Wever,
Pollmiller Park, Wilson Lake, and Fort Madison Municipal Arpt.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Stay away from
flooded areas. Report any flooding to local law enforcement.

If the heavy rain continues, a flash flood warning may be needed.
