Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
251 AM CDT Thu Jun 13 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low the next seven days. In spite of
critical RHs across far western areas the next several days, light
20ft winds will mitigate fire weather concerns. Thunderstorms are
possible across the higher terrain and adjacent areas to the west
today and Friday, with afternoon storms possible each day thereafter
in the Davis Mountains, thus IA potential will exist given the
possibility for lightning starts. Hot and mainly dry conditions
will continue, however, with fair to good recovery west, and good to
very good recovery east.

Service Office.
