...Hot and Dry through Saturday...


.DISCUSSION...Finally a nice stretch of sunny skies and warm/hot
temperatures are on the menu for the Northern Rockies today
through Saturday as high pressure establishes itself over the
region.

High temperatures will be in the 80s across western Montana
with the lower valleys across central Idaho reaching the
mid 90s. The hottest day of week occurs Saturday.

Showers and thunderstorms will develop Sunday afternoon/evening
across central Idaho and parts of western/southwest Montana.

A weak short wave sliding through British Columbia and the
US/Canadian border will bring scattered showers and a few
thunderstorms along the Continental Divide and portions of
Western Montana Monday.

Another nice stretch of dry and warm weather returns next Tuesday
through much of next week (June 12-13) with model ensembles show
high pressure rebounding over the western United States.

.AVIATION...VFR conditions for all terminals through 07/1200z.
            However KGPI/KMSO/KBTM will experience some west
            winds gusting to 20 mph between 06/2200z and 07/0100z.
