July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS...A stationary front will continue over the waters
today through Wed night before weakening Thu. Low pressure will
form along the front off the SE coast this morning, then move
slowly NE of the area tonight into Wed. Weak high pressure will
build N of the waters Wed and Wed night, then shift NE of the
region Thu. Another weak low will form over the area Wed into Thu
night, then move slowly NE Fri into Sat. A cold front will
approach from the N Sat, and then move over the N waters Sat
night. The NAVTEX transmitter in Chesapeake, Virginia is offline
until further notice. Technicians are aware of the problem and
are working to have it repaired.
